CONTACTORS
The remotely controlled electromagnetic switches that open the closed contacts and close the open contacts when the energy is applied to the coil ends are called contactors. It provides the ability to control the electrical installations such as electric motors, compensation and heating systems remotely by cable. When used together with thermal relays, it protects devices and installations against overload currents. Rated current ranges are available from 16 A to 1000 A according to AC1, and from 6 A to 750 A according to AC3. Rich coil supply voltage is available from 24 V to 500 V. As a standard, 220 V supplied coil is used. From 6 A to 95 A DC supplied coil contactors are also included in the product range. Up to 40 A 1NO or 1NC, between 40 A and 750 A 1NO + 1NC auxiliary contacts are offered. A snap-on auxiliary contact, spare main contact kits, mechanical lock and spare coils are available as accessories. The contactor must be selected correctly according to the rated currents and the type of load that will pass through it. Contactors are generally switching elements that do not fail easily and can switch on and off millions of times if the contactor selection is correct and there is no defect in operating conditions.
CAPACITOR CONTACTORS
Through their current limiting contact blocks, they limit the starting currents of the capacitors. Thus, the lifetime of capacitors and contactors is prolonged and adhesions in contactor contacts are prevented. While a capacitor is activated, the presence of harmonic currents and the tolerance of the mains voltage can cause a continuous current flow of approximately 1.3 times the rated current (In) of the capacitors. The presence of harmonic currents and tolerance of the network voltage can cause a continuous current flow of approximately 1.3 times the rated current (In) of the capacitors. Depending on the production tolerance, the maximum power of a capacitor can reach 1.15 times its nominal power. Contactors should be selected with the capacity to carry Ith = 1,3×1,15xIn = 1,50In thermal current. Federal compensation contactors offer the ability to wire up from 5 kVAr to 50kVAr 1 pole capacitors and 10 kVAr to 80 kVAr 3 poles capacitors. Compensation block and resistance cable are also offered to the user as an accessory.
HIGH CURRENT CONTACTORS
Omik is used safely in inductive and capacitive AC and DC circuits, mains-generator inverter systems. Contactors are produced in accordance with TS EN 60947-4-1 Standard. High current contactors produced with 3 poles as standard are also produced with 1, 2 and 4 poles upon request. Federal high current contactors are designed to cut DC current. Since the extinguishing event in DC is more difficult than AC, Federal contactors can also be used safely and long-lasting in AC circuits. According to the AC-1 category, ampere ranges from 300 A to 2500 A are available. Contactors with rated current ranges from 132 A to 1230 A at 380/400 V voltage according to AC-3 category for motor control are included in the product range. Coils are available in 24, 48, 110, 220, 240, 380, 415 V AC / DC control voltage.
THERMAL OVERLOAD RELAYS
Thermal relays leave the motor out of circuit via contactor in case of overload, that is, a contactor equipped with a thermal relay becomes a much more beneficial and useful device. Because by adding a thermal relay to the contactor, both the consumer is protected from overcurrent and the contactor is protected from the effects of overheating due to overcurrent. In the thermal relay, each phase is connected to an overcurrent emitter. When bimetals are heated, they push the differentiating stick open the circuit. The thermal relay mechanism compensates the changes in the ambient temperature, preventing the relay from being affected by the ambient temperature. Federal thermal relays are produced in the range of 0.1 – 630 A rated current in accordance with IEC / EN 60947-4-1 Standards. Ease of use is offered with 1NO + 1NC auxiliary contact and rail mounting apparatus as standard.
